These are all of my most used tarot spreads and spreads I find most useful

This matched set of new moon and full moon spreads is part of a monthly habit for me. I think I found them in an article on a since shut down astrology app, but they've seen some modifcations as they developed as my monthly practice. I have journals of four or more years worth of these two spreads spreading four or five books. The ability to reflect on each month over years is as delightful as it is informative. They mirror each other well in a way that builds on each prior reading delightfully.
What got left behind in the waning moon? This question is the main connection to the full moon spread and I find it interesting to look back at the synchronicities between that spread and this card.
What is coming into intuition? This card is about where you need to let new information come forward without forcing it.
What do I need to make happen for myself? This is about the concious focus in my mind during the waxing moon. This card is about applying conscious effort
The new moon is full of potential for change and growth, but to gain that strength we must let go of that which is in the way.
This mirrors the 'how can I connect with others?' question in the full moon spread, sometimes its about self care, sometimes it's about finding personal power, it is always about doing the right thing for you. This monthly check in with how I'm doing is a really vital part of the routine.
This can be a vital overview, an extra insight, or even a summary of the two weeks ahead. Sometimes it's a clarifying card for the spread overall, sometimes the spread is so clear in its message that I don't feel like I need this card at all.
What has grown with the waxing moon? Its often something that's the strongest and most present influence on my life at the time. But sometimes its the goal i have been focused on for the waxing moon or something to be grateful for coming into my life.
What are you neglecting that needs your attention? Are new ideas coming to light, is the full moon casting its light on ideas in your subconscious you need to give focus to. This question mirrors 'What is emerging into consciousness?' sometimes it can be useful to see if this is similar and if a lasting idea is still emerging.
What are you celebrating, grateful for, or making happen? Sometimes this is something that has previously been in your subconcious that now needs conscious focus and attention.
As the moon prepares to wane once more this card guides what will be released in the return to the new moon. What isn't serving you? What has outstayed its welcome?
As the moon wanes I often find I am needing rest, this card helps to identify connectiosn to share lifes burdens with. Toghether we can lighten the load and get more rest over the waning moon. It also shines a light on relationships, romance, and family matters and how they might be affected over the month.
This is the same as the new moon final wisdom. The key card for the two weeks ahead. It can clarify the cards in the rest of the spread, sometimes it adapts the meaningas of other cards in the spread recontextualising the entire reading.

This is another spread that has become a repeated ritual for me, familiar enough for anyone who follows the wheel of the year. I've named some of these festivals to better fit what I celebrate at these times and to be more sensitive to Welsh and Irish traditions. As an English witch people of my heritage have done more than enough to Wales and Ireland without me going and appropriating the names of their Gods and festivals to use in wildly innacurate ways. So no Mabon here unless I'm referencing the Mabinogion. I start at Halloween. Not because of any belief in the celtic start of the year then but because as an 'academic' my year starts in September. Sadly, I'm always too busy then to be making elaborate rituals of divination for the year and October is half term time.
A good witch knows their tools, And I'd like to be a good witch. I can't say I use this for every deck I own. Can't really say I even use it most of the time. Didn't even write the spread actually, it came from an ex who was particularly unpleasant which has imbued the practice with an uneasy energy. But, I'd still like to be the kind of person who asks my decks what they have to teach me.
